Our client, a multinational corporation with approximately 5000 employees worldwide, is a chemical manufacturer located in South Holland. The Dutch facility has around 500 permanent employees, making it the second-largest production site within the global company. The company is offering solutions to its customers across a wide range of industries with products that define the market. Over the past few years, they have made significant progress and are at the forefront of the industry in terms of responsible manufacturing. The organization has achieved a significant milestone in its journey towards minimizing emissions as close to zero as possible.
Position
In this dynamic role, you are responsible for the overall quality level within the Dutch plant. It's a position that involves both strategic involvement and an operational role. You lead your team of in total 32Fte through the required change to new successes with your excellent people leadership skills. You focus heavily on quality thinking and encourage a culture and mindset to elevate the quality to an even higher level. Together with your team, you will fully concentrate on securing the delivered and to-be-delivered quality throughout the entire chain. As an advisor for the Plant Manager, you play a crucial role in improving the quality assurance of the products and business processes.
Responsibilities
- builds quality culture and competency enabling organization to meet quality requirements;
- leads and coordinates the quality activities including customer, supplier, regulator authority and internal interfaces on site and with the corporate organization;
- responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS), customer satisfaction, quality certifications, quality related aspects of supplier and contract manufacturer relationships;
- ensures quality management system is maintained consistent with business and regulatory needs;
- ensures global best practices and procedures are leveraged as appropriate;
- coordinates correct reporting, visualization, and communication of the quality policy and quality principles;
- ensures consistent measurement and reporting of quality performance within the organization;
- reviews and approves quality plans, incident investigations, control plans, Failure Mode and Effect Analyses (FMEAs) prior to communication to customers and internal organizations;
- develop Critical Operating Tasks and to establish metrics and performance goals consistent with business needs through established interactions in supply chain and business leadership meetings.
Your profile
- bachelor or University Degree;
- proven experience in Quality management role;
- audit capabilities;
- lean and Project Management certifications are a plus;
- experience in operational / manufacturing environment is required;
- professional certifications like ISO 9001;
- you distinct yourself in people leadership by coaching and managing people on their attitude and behavior;
- you bring people and processes in motion by providing both structure and attention to your team.
